Milton Camilo

Milton Camilo is an Afro Brazilian Artist, he was born as the youngest of four siblings in 1970 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Here, he absolved a professional education in Ballet and Contemporary Dance in the time of 1989 to 1998, as well as already worked as a freelance dancer (1992-1997). In 1998 he moved to Germany and became a member as dancer and dramatic adviser of the Mark Sieczkarek Company in North Rhine-Westphalia until 2008. Since 2007 he lives in Wuppertal, where he dedicates himself increasingly to the art of painting. Since 2008 he is represented and exhibited in numerous group- and solo- exhibitions in Germany, as well as Brazil.

Today, Milton Camilo works as an artist, dancer, choreographer, dance- and art-pedagogue in North Rhine-Westphalia, but also nation-wide and internationally (Europe, Africa, and South America). Solo exhibitions, as well as performances, determine his work as much as several cooperations with other artists, theatres, museums, galleries, directing, as well as working with children and amateurs in dance and fine art.
