Fabien Prioville

Fabien Prioville graduated from the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine (CNDC) in Angers. He later worked with Édouard Lock and his company La La La Human Steps in Canada, before joining Philippe Blanchard in Stockholm. In 1999 he became a member of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, where he performed repertoire pieces including Cafe Müller. He also appeared in Pedro Almodovar’s film Talk to Her (2002) and Wim Wender’s documentary film PINA (2011). Since 2006 he has been working as a freelance dancer and choreographer, collaborating with Josef Nadj and Davis Freeman, Louise Lecavalier, Shutaro Oku, Hauschka, Tetro +A, Chris Cutler and Michiel van Erp, among others. His various commissioned works brought him to New York’s Juilliard School, Tokyo Festival, Theater Group En, Dance Dance Asian, Ballet-NOAH, Tanztheater Regensburg, Tanztheater Bielefeld, I.T.A in Amsterdam, CDC La Termitière in Burkina Faso, ADAF Festival in Athens, Super 24 Oschool in Singapore, Holland Dance Festival in Den Haag and Attakkalari Biennial in Bangalore, as well as to Australia, Bolivia, Canada, and Mali. He is invited internationally to give workshops and coach emerging artists.
