Dr. Hildegard Kaluza

Dr Hildegard Kaluza, * 1958, is the head of the cultural department in the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia. Since 1997, she has worked in various areas of the state administration of North Rhine-Westphalia. In her current position she is represented in numerous committees of cultural institutions and initiatives on state and federal level. In addition to her commitment to cultural-political issues, she can also contribute her previous experience from the private sector, freelance work as a management consultant and as the managing director of a social enterprise. Current focal points of the work are the expansion and readjustment of state cultural funding, the positioning of federal cultural policy in the newly founded Kultur-MK as well as questions of digitization and digitality in culture.
