Martina La Ragione has worked as a dancer for Teri J. Weikel, Carolyn Carlson, Robert Wechsler, Nathalie Larquet, Simone Sandroni and Lenka Flory, Virginia Spallarossa and Gabriella Maiorino. She danced in Romeo Castellucci’s "Parsifal", choreographed by Cindy Van Acker, in Carlo Massari’s C&C Company, and as a guest with the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch in “The Seven Deadly Sins”.
She assisted Simone Sandroni in the creation of "Das Mädchen und der Messerwerfer" for the Bayerisches Staatsballett and continued to collaborate with the company as a choreographer for the school projects "Anna Tanzt" and "Heinrich Tanzt", joint productions by the Bavarian State Ballet/CAMPUS and the Heinrich-Heine Gymnasium. Together with her collegue Valentina Buldrini, she won the "Premio Equilibrio" at Roma Auditorium with the duet "WILL", which she performed at Carolyn Carlson’s June Events festival in Paris, at NID Platform in Pisa (Italy), and at the Edinburgh Fringe Dance Base Festival. She is part of the team of contemporary dance teachers at the professional training course Art Factory International under the artistic direction of Brigel Gjoka, dancer of the former Forsythe Company, and used to teach at ANFIBIA dance platform under the artistic direction of dancer and choreographer Carlo Massari. She works for the project “Suchen & Finden” at Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch and recently created “UnHeaven” for the Bavarian Junior Ballet.
