Frauke Gerstenberg studied architecture in Berlin (UDK Berlin) and Barcelona (ETSAB). She belongs to the group raumlaborberlin.
Her work focuses on experimental spatial concepts, artistic interventions and spatial narratives - always with a strong reference to public space.
She was a research assistant and lecturer at the Technical University of Munich from 2003 to 2009 and a guest lecturer at Hyperwerk Basel, Hochschule für Gestaltung in 2016/17. Since 2017, she has been visiting professor for space and concept at the Muthesius Academy in Kiel.
As a founding member of the "Haus der Statistik" initiative, she has been working on the pilot project Haus der Statistik in Berlin since 2015.
